After switching to a vegan diet in 2019, Jaden Smith is well on his way to maintaining a healthy lifestyle for years to come with the support of his parents.
Jaden told out about his road to health and wellbeing during his recent visit on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne “Gammy” Banfield-Norris. He explained that he needed medical advice to get his nutrition and metabolism under control.
“I had the opportunity to collaborate with the physicians and obtain my vitamins, supplements, and protein shakes,” Jaden remarked. That makes up 50% of my diet. It’s as though I need to figure out my body’s password. I’m probably ten pounds heavier now. That was a far cry from my state of mind at Coachella, where all I could think was “bones.”
When Jaden’s weight loss started to become noticeably apparent, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett previously expressed their concern with the “Icon” rapper’s current lifestyle choice and organized a family intervention for him.
“Jaden is now vegan, but Will and I realized he wasn’t getting enough protein, so we had a little intervention with him,” Jada said. Thus, he was perishing. He simply appeared exhausted, depleted, and deprived of nourishment.
“He had the dark circles under his eyes, and his skin had a hint of gray,” Will continued. Although it made us quite anxious, you look much better now.
After settling on a diet this year, Jaden disclosed in a recent interview with HipHopDX that he is actively seeking original material for a next release and that he intends to resume touring in 2022.
“I’m going to be working on stuff and going on tour, and hopefully, I’ll get inspired for my next project,” Jaden said to DX.
