Chef files a lawsuit against Lil Wayne, alleging wrongful termination due to a family emerge𝚗cy.
In December of 2022, Lil Wayne was sued by his erstwhile personal chef, as was previously reported. Morghan Medlock alleged in her lawsuit that she was unjustly terminated because she abandoned her scheduled work assignment to attend to her hospitalized 10-year-old son, who had sustained an ιnjury.
Over the Memorial Day weekend, Medlock was reportedly traveling to Las Vegas with Weezy when she received the distressing news that her 10-year-old son had been admitted to the Los Angeles County Hospital due to a head ιnjury (TMZ). In an effort to improve the timing of her return journey to her son, Medlock claimed that Wayne’s smoking on the aircraft had caused a delay in the flight.
Medlock subsequently made the decision to board an individual flight rather than remaining in the queue. Although she asserted that she had informed Wayne’s assistant of her decision, his team continued to inquire whether she was resigning from the organization. Despite Medlock’s assertion to the contrary, she was ultimately informed of her termination. As per Medlock’s lawsuit, she ultimately received a direct message from Tunechi that purportedly stated, “Instruct Chef Morghan that this strategy is not viable.”
Medlock filed a lawsuit alleging that her unlаwful termination was in viоlatiоn of California law. She sought a minimum of $500,000 in restitution.
