Drake was accused of mocking Kendrick Lamar in a recent Instagram story.
The 6 God wears a shirt that says “Compton Community College,” Lamar’s hometown college, in the Friday, April 26 photo.
Rapper Kendrick has publicly criticized Drake since he made fun of him on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” Drake reacted with “Push Ups,” followed by Pac-synthesized “Taylor Made Freestyle,” featuring 2Pac and Snoop Dogg.
The song was withdrawn after Pac’s estate threatened legal action.
Drake’s latest jab mocked Whitney Alford, Kendrick Lamar’s wife, who Akademiks said “allegedly” attended Compton College.
Us Weekly reported that Alford, married to Lamar and with two children, studied accounting at California State University Long Beach.
Akademiks have discussed Drake’s motivations.
Despite his ongoing dispute with Kendrick Lamar, the media personality discussed his recent interaction with the 6 God on his Off the Record program. Ak showed clips of their conversations.
He remarked, “It seems like he’s been waiting for this for ten years.” He noticed the pattern. “Yo, I’ve watched this guy do the same bait and switch every time,” he told me. Always willing to defend myself. He throws a verse that people hype up as “Oh, he’s coming at you.” I constantly ask someone out, but he departs without a word.
Drake also knows about Kendrick’s long-rumored diss single, which is why he’s been mocking him, according to Akademiks.
