50 Cent is still excited to work with Lil Wayne prior to his retirement

50 Cent has said that Lil Wayne is his first choice among musicians he has not yet worked with.

In a recent interview with Capital XTRA, the G-Unit leader expressed his desire to cooperate with Lil Wayne, a Hip Hop artist he has not worked with before.

He informed the hosts, Shayna Marie and Robert Bruce, that he did not collaborate directly with Wayne. “He is one of those who consider Wayne to be well-trained.”

Fif said that he traveled with the iconic New Orleans rapper in 2000 as part of the well-known Cash Money and Ruff Ryders tour, despite never having worked together on music.

DMX, Juvenile, and Eve were the main acts on the 40-city arena tour, with Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, The LOX, Big Tymers, B.G., Drag-On, and Turk. However, there was only a young 50 Cent performing as the opening act.

“I was on the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour before they opened the curtain, as most people are unaware,” he said. While I was preparing, people were still entering and leaving before the show began. They saw me as insubstantial, but I finally reconsidered.

While 50 Cent is enthusiastic about collaborating with Lil Wayne in the studio, many individuals in the music industry have expressed a preference to see the two Hip Hop giants face off in a Verzuz bаttle.

Ebro Darden from Apple Music and Hоt 97 sparked a contentious controversy in March by claiming that 50 Cent would outperform Lil Wayne in a song-for-song competition.

“The impact of 50 on Wayne will be similar to the impact Jadakiss had on Dipset.” Regarding The LOX’s significant victory against the Harlem group in 2021, he said, “@yourboyeddie was not present in the streets during the mid-2000s.”

Young Guru, JAY-Z’s longstanding engineer, promptly joined the conversation, ridiculing Ebro’s comments.

“You all are insаne.” Wayne would perform a fifty wash. He said on his Instagram Stories, in summary.

Later in the month, Swizz Beatz, a co-creator of Verzuz, dismissed rumors of a possible 50 Cent vs. Lil Wayne bаttle by stating that he would not entertain the idea since the two artists are “different.”

He told Baller Alert that he would not participate in a 50 vs. Wayne bаttle since they are two distinct artists with different styles. “I have alternative plans for each of them, but it will depend on their level of engagement as we have many activities scheduled.”

“Just wait and see, even though I can’t reveаl who I would choose to oppose them,” he said.
