Lil Wayne has maintained a good diet for more than 20 years.
The 40-year-old musician Young Money revealed his unusual roadside dining routine in an Instagram Story that Daily Loud took, noting that he hasn’t had fast food in decades and doesn’t even “know what McDonald’s smells like.”
Lil Wayne can be heard saying in the video, “We had pulled over to cook, because you know I don’t eat fast food,” as he gets off his tour van. He gets to the back of a vehicle that is piled high with bags that are probably full with food as he weaves between parked cars. “See, we pulled over, and we cooked,” he stated.
The rapper gave his fans a message as he concluded this video. “So eat healthy young me𝚗, young wоmen,” he stated.
Lil Wayne has made it known that he used to abstain from fast food. The New Orleans native talked with host Zane Lowe in a February interview for New Music Daily on Apple Music about the guidance his mother, a chef, gave him when he went to Miami at the age of 19.
“One thing she really wаnted me to do was, she wаnted me to get a personal chef,” he recalled, before recollecting her text, “‘You should get a personal chef, so therefore, you’re not just eating anything.'”
Since he was 19, Lil Wayne has had a personal chef, confirming that he has heeded that advise. “I have no idea how McDonald’s smells. I haven’t had fast food in a very long time,” he said.
Lil Wayne is all about giving back to the youth in addition to promoting a healthy diet. The Young Money rapper held “A Weezy Christmas” at Dave & Buster’s in December 2022 for the children of his native New Orleans.
“This Christmas, @mackmaine4president & I wаnted to give some future hall of famers the gift of game w/ the help of @Wilson,” he shared a number of images from the occasion on Instagram.
He said, “Making sure they received the necessary resources so they could enjoy all the benefits of being a top-tier athlete was very important to us!”
The rapper reportedly hosted 150 kids between the ages of 12 and 16 at the event space with the assistance of Wilson Sporting Goods and Young Money Entertainment CEO Mack Maine, according to TMZ.
The occasion honored kids for their academic success as well as their participation in sports including tennis, football, basketball, baseball, and soccer.
