Lil Wayne exudes confidence; after all, he claimed to be the only deserving competitor for Verzuz. The Young Money leader has never hesitated to express his mind and show off his fearless nature, whether on stage or in the studio. Weezy occasionally ends his live concerts early as a result of a lackluster reception from his crowd, but other times it depicts him making unexpecteԀ appearances and having a great time on stage.

The latter took place during the Essence Festival in New Orleans over the weekend. Even though Wayne wasn’t performing with big names like Lauryn Hill and Megan Thee Stallion, the fact that Tha Carter was wearing an all-pink Rick Owens ensemble made the locals happy. In a video that has gone viral, Wayne does a dance routine reminiscent of Michael Jackson for his fans, albeit it lacks the pop icon’s razor-sharpness.

Someone on Instagram commented, “Michael Jackson on moon rocks .” The user @2cool2bl0g made the joke. Another person said, “Old Wayne woulda been dissin’ new Wayne.” Fortunately, some people are still happy to see the “How to Love” hitmaker in a positive light. Regardless of what critics may sаy about him, Wayne was clearly feeling himself based on the smile that appears on his face at the end of his dancing break.

The Southern celebrity performed rap versions of “A Milli” and other tunes from his repertoire while performing on the Essence Festival stage. Weezy’s appearance was not featured in the Hulu live stream, thus while those watching from home missed it live, those who were in attendance at the event saw it live.
