Lil Durk claims that he was offered money to engage in feuds with other rap artists
Lil Durk revealed on Twitter over the weekend that he was approached with cash offers to engage in feuds with other rappers. The 30-year-old rapper, known as the lead member and founder of Only the Family (OTF), alleged that record labels attempted to pay him to fabricate conflicts with his rivals. In a tweet, he stated, “Labels try to pay me to beef. I just can’t fake it. I’m different. I’m him. Unpredictable.”
Durk has been involved in public disputes with several artists, including NBA YoungBoy, Tekashi 69, and Soulja Boy. The latter criticized Durk for allegedly not acknowledging his role in launching his career. Soulja Boy expressed frustration on Instagram Live, highlighting his contributions to Durk’s early mixtapes.
Durk recently shared a photo on social media showing him holding stacks of cash on a private jet, emphasizing his success despite doubters. He announced the release of his upcoming album, ‘Almost Healed’, scheduled for May 26th.
Meanwhile, Cardi B, who collaborated with Kanye West and Lil Durk on a song last summer, expressed dissatisfaction with its execution. She revealed during an emotional Instagram Live session that she faced challenges with the release, citing miscommunication and frustration with the lack of proper execution. Despite her initial reluctance, the promotional material for the song eventually appeared on her official YouTube channel.
