With effect from December 28, 2023, this new contract intends to produce and supply five BASTION vehicles to equip Chilean police forces with vehicles. The Chilean Carabineros and Arquus have solid economic contacts, which are confirmed by this contract that deepens cooperation. The Arquus Limoges New Vehicle Production Center of Excellence is now in the process of producing the BASTIONs, which are slated for delivery in 2024.

A significant factor in the modernization of the Chilean police force’s fleet and enhancement of their operational capabilities is the advent of the BASTION. They round out the selection of Arquus vehicles that are now available in Chile: a SHERPA APC Ladder was delivered in 2014, and a Petit Véhicule Protégé (PVP) was delivered in 2009. The BASTIONs will be allocated to Araucanía’s southern macro-zone.

The BASTION has been under development since 2012 and was created especially to satisfy client demands for strength and remarkable mobility capacity. It is now one of the standard vehicles on operational theaters across the globe, having gained recognition and approval. By optimizing the three factors of “protection, mass, and mobility,” the BASTION is the perfect vehicle to ensure both operational effectiveness and the survival of ̔oʪd̖eγ̧ in the field.

The effective synergy created by the successful integration of these three performances into the BASTION’s design allows the vehicle to meet operational needs while optimizing ground forces’ safety and mobility. Arquus has created a solution that is straightforward, durable, easily industrializable, and sustainable. It offers excellent adaptability with the current fleets of Light Reconnaissance and Support Vehicles (VLRA) around the world by attaching a welded mechanical body onto the BASTION’s chassis.
