We wouldn’t be shocked if a few of collectors are envious of Cristiano Ronaldo’s most recent watch.
One of the most unique benefits of the soccer legend’s collaboration with Jacob & Co. is the unique Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorites.” The green jewels that adorn nearly every surface of the stunning handmade watch give it its nаme.
The vibrant color of the watch was selected as a tribute to Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo relocated earlier this month after joining the Al Nassr soccer team. To achieve the green hue, the watchmaker could have simply used emeralds, but instead chose to employ tsavorites, which are less costly than their cousins but around 200 times rarer.
The watch’s 47 mm 18k white gold case, bezel, face, and crown were covered in about 388 fine, baguette-cut tsavorites. Although it can seem a touch excessive, it gives the watch a memorable all-green appearance. The watch’s strap is the only component not entirely covered in stones, and even it is composed of green alligator leather.
The caliber JCAA43 movement, which powers the watch, features bridges made especially to fit the diamond setting. At six o’clock, the hand-wоund caliber powers the hours, minutes, and 60-second flying tourbillon. It has a 42-hour power reserve with 216 components.
However, you’re not going to find something green to wear on your wrist. The all-time soccer goal scorer gets exclusive access to the $780,000 Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorite,” according to Hypebeast.
Thankfully, Jacob & Co. is offering his admirers a variety of clocks with Ronaldo themes. The rose gold Flight of CR7 and the stainless steel Heart of CR7, two timepieces the business co-designed with the forward, were introduced late last year. Each watch comes in two variations, one with diamonds and the other without. They are priced between $34,988 and $181,331 and are each limited to 99 pieces.
