On Monday, the Denver Broncos announced that quarterback Russell Wilson will be released following two seasons with the organization.

“We informed Russell Wilson of his release today, March 13, following the commencement of the league year,” the organization said in a statement.

Wilson, 35, was acknowledged by the Broncos for his contributions. The organization continued, “We are focused on building the strongest team possible for the 2024 season and beyond.”

Wilson commenced his NFL career in 2012 with the Seattle Seahawks, where he tied Peyton Manning’s record for rookies with 26 touchdown strikes in a single season.
