The New Orleans native displays his acting abilities in a promotional video for the athletics program hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning.
Peyton and Eli Manning, two former NFL greats, have hosted a live “Monday Night Football” broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN+ since 2021. The program, affectionately referred to by its audience as “ManningCast,” initiated the search for a new co-host shortly prior to the premiere of its third season.
The duo debuted a skit on Tuesday (September 5) that depicted the siblings conducting an audition with other prominent NFL figures, such as Commissioner Roger Goodell, who advised the Mannings to consider prospects beyond the realm of football. Following the recommendation, the two proceeded to include comedians Kenan Thompson, DJ Khaled, Mike Tyson, Stephen A. Smith, and Lil Wayne in the film, to uproarious effect. In the end, it was determined that the third seat was not suitable, particularly considering that the suggestion of an additional co-host seemed to have been put forth solely for promotional purposes and amusement.
Wayne decided to share an extended version of his audition with the champion quarterbacks shortly after the “ManningCast” film went viral online. This version included a minute of humorous punchlines that were absent from the original video. “Hello, my nаme is Lil Wayne, Weezy Baby, Tunechi, President Carter, and Weezy F. Please repeat “Baby” aloud. In an elongated-than-usual nаme introduction, the fellow New Orleans star pleaded, “Weezy F., please sаy the letter ‘F,’ Weezy, please sаy the letter ‘Weezy,’…” “I have a family pass and am a Louisiana boy with the Manning boys; this is the ‘ManningCast'” he rapped in another segment of the video.
Despite not being invited to join the Mannings, Weezy F. had already secured a position as a sports presenter for another A-list network. Previous information from REVOLT stated that the Young Money veteran, in conjunction with close friend and collaborator Skip Bayless, is now a weekly commentator on the FS1 program “Undisputed.”
