Travis Scott Lights Up the Stage and Destroys Folding Chairs in Utopia Medley at 2024 Grammys

Travis Scott enlivened the 2024 Grammy Awards stage. On Sunday, the 32-year-old rapper performed at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles during the awards ceremony. The Grammy-nominated hip-hop icon performed a medley of songs from his album Utopia, including “MY EYES,” “I KNOW?” and “FE!N.” Although the performance commenced in a more subdued manner, featuring Scott seated atop a towering speaker and crooning “MY EYES” behind the bars, it ultimately escalated into a frenzy of fervor and exuberance.

Following the rendition of multiple verses of the introspective song, the Houston-based artist, attired in a football armor-inspired all-black ensemble, launched into “I KNOW?.” A performer joined him during the second track, and the two of them performed choreography in front of a wall of speakers to symbolize the relationship difficulties that are central to the lyrics. Subsequently, he literally presented a fire set, which ignited the stage as he launched into the anthem “FE!N,” fervently spewing the rapid bars while collapsing folding chairs in the set and receiving support from featured artist Playboi Carti.
The hitmaker explained the concept and reasoning behind Utopia through a pre-recorded video in which he performed three songs from the album prior to the performance. According to him, “The three songs are kind of the transport portal where we’re going to get to Utopia.”
