Ice Cube is always proud of his children, who are they?

Meet Ice Cube’s four children: O’Shea Jr., Darrell, Kareema, and Shareef.

Ice Cube’s four kids—O’Shea Jr., Darrell, Kareema, and Shareef—changed his life.

The Los Angeles rapper and actor, born O’Shea Jackson, became a father for the first time in the early 1990s when his then-girlfriend Kimberly Woodruff had their son O’Shea Jr. Ice Cube told Access Hollywood that parenting made him “from a boy into a man” and helped him “realize what’s important” in life.

Over the next decade, Ice Cube and Woodruff married and had three more children. The rapper quipped that becoming a dad made him less “cool” but is happy of his family and the “good people” his children have become.

“They encourage effort. They keep you focused on building. Ice Cube noted in 2007 that children are the glue of a family.

While his children are grown, he believes his foundation will help them succeed and take advantage of all chances.

Always see opportunities. Life gives you opportunities, and you either take them or not, he told his kids. “If you don’t take it, you won’t get repeat opportunities. You must initiate and seize the moment.”

Here’s all about Ice Cube’s kids: O’Shea Jr., Darrell, Kareema, and Shareef.

Born in L.A. on February 24, 1991, Ice Cube and Woodruff’s first child, O’Shea Jackson Jr., is 32. Despite his dislike of his name as a child, the couple named O’Shea after his father. Not until he was a teenager did he appreciate his name.

“I didn’t like my name until I was 17. Mugs and license plates rarely feature O’Shea. Kids prefer key chains, he said on The Late Late Show in 2018. “I didn’t like it until I realized my uniqueness.”

O’Shea attended USC after graduating from William Howard Taft High School in 2009. O’Shea studied screenwriting but stopped out to pursue acting, but he wouldn’t rule out returning.

“USC has sparked my love of film. These movies are my first passion. I want to work in cinema. For Entertainment Weekly in 2015, he joked, “I want to go and get my diploma because it’s always better to go to college as a celebrity.”

O’Shea started a music career under the name OMG while acting, but he dropped it. He has performed with his dad live and on Ice Cube’s 2010 album I Am the West, featuring “Y’all Know How I Am”. O’Shea released Jackin’ for Beats, a mixtape, in 2012.

After his mixtape was released, O’Shea was cast in Straight Outta Compton, a film about his father’s career. He believes he had to audition and win the position despite playing his dad in the film.

“They tortured me. For two years, I took acting classes, learned skills, and went to auditions, callbacks, etc., he told PEOPLE. “Acting for the first time is a big dish. But I couldn’t sit in a theater and think someone misrepresented my father. Thinking, ‘Oh, he wouldn’t have done that,’ would have disgusted me.”

O’Shea has appeared in Ingrid Goes West, Den of Thieves, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Cocaine Bear since Straight Outta Compton. The Now, Swagger, and Obi-Wan Kenobi made him famous in television. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera and American Sole are his following flicks.

On whether O’Shea had a “unfair” advantage in the profession, he said he wore his “nepo baby” status “as a badge of honor”.” “I’m forever grateful for everything that my dad had to do to give me the opportunities that I have,” he told Kelly Clarkson in 2023.

Runaway or shying away from it would be disrespectful to everything he went through. “He didn’t try as hard to make me reject it,” he said.

When they see me, many say, ‘Hey, you’re Ice Cube’s son.’ Absolutely, that’s my hero. Coach is mine. Open the door, but walk through.”

Personal achievements have also been reached by O’Shea. In August 2017, he had his daughter Jordan Reign, who made him function on “a different level.”

“It gives you a new purpose in life,” he told Essence. “Game time. Fourth quarter makes you think about business. It helps you control your behavior and choose items that will represent your child’s future.

On December 3, 1992, Ice Cube and Woodruff welcomed their second son, Darrell Jackson, at 31. Darrell graduated from Woodland Hills’ William Howard Taft High School in 2010.

Darrell performs as Doughboy, after Ice Cube’s character in Boyz n the Hood (1991), like his father. He recorded “Y’all Know How I Am” and “Here He Come” alongside his dad and brother O’Shea for the 2008 album Raw Footage.

Darrell works for Ice Cube’s Lench Mob Records, per Instagram. His dad’s film and TV production company, Cube Vision, employs him as an associate producer on Straight Outta Compton. Ice Cube’s 3-on-3 pro basketball league Big 3 includes Darrell.

Darrell married Janet in November 2022.

Kareema Jackson, 29

Shareef Jackson, 23 Ice Cube and Woodruff’s youngest son, Shareef, was born on June 1, 2000. He rarely appears in public and has spent most of his life away from it.

Shareef has attended football, basketball, and baseball events with his father. He went out with his family to celebrate Ice Cube’s 2017 Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

He last met Joey Logano in February 2022 with his parents.
