There will be a show at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on Thursday, March 28 by Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., who is from New Orleans. Hip-hop artists Cordae and Kash the King will be on the show with Wayne.

107.3 Wооdy Woods of The Beаt said that several months of work went into trying to get Lil Wayne to come to Charleston.

“The Lil Wayne and Young Money camp have been talking to us for about six or seven months to try and get the right date and make sure we promote it with enough time,” Woods said after the news came out on Tuesday.

This building can hold about 8,500 people. Woods said that people “can’t miss” this show.

“Most likely, you won’t get a ticket if you don’t buy one on Friday,” Woods said. “I believe it will sell up to 7,000 tickets on Friday morning in an hour.”

Lil Wayne became well-known in the early 2000s. In 2009, his album “Tha Carter III” won him his first Grammy. He won Grammys that year for “A Milli” and “Lollipop.” The song “Swagga Like Us” by Lil Wayne, T.I., and Jay-Z won Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2009. Lil Wayne has been nominated for 27 Grammys and won five of them.

Woods said that he thinks Lil Wayne will bring the energy to his show in late March.

“This isn’t going to be a 45-minute show; it’s going to be about a two-and-a-half-hour show.”
